Uluru

Palya! Hello!

My partner and I just returned from a trip to central Australia visiting Alice Springs and Uluru. Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a majestic sandstone formation that stands 348 meters high and spanning over 9 kilometers in circumference. This iconic natural wonder is a sacred site for the Anangu people, the traditional owners of the land. Its red tones change hues throughout the day. Uluru holds great spiritual significance, with ancient rock art and sacred stories. Exploring Central Australia means venturing into a land steeped in Aboriginal culture, rugged landscapes, and vast deserts.

This image is composed of two shots, one in the Uluru national park and the other just outside Alice Springs. I created this image to capture the magic that this part of the world exhibits, and also the park closes just after sundown. Standing in front of this formation and taking in the vast desert that surrounds the rock is quite an inspiring experience. The quiet stillness will be a memory that I will hold foreever.
